Dark Lip Neutralisation
The Dark Lip Neutralisation treatment is designed to neutralise hyperpigmentation within the lips, resulting in a brighter, lighter and more even appearance.
The treatment is most effective for clients with Fitzpatrick skin types 3, 4, 5, and 6, where darker and cooler tones are present.

Dark Lip Neutralisation can be a journey for many clients, but one that is definitely worth it.
This treatment focuses primarily on the neutralising of darker and cooler tones within the lip – in which is most commonly found in Fitpatrick 3, 4, 5, & 6, where hyperpigmentation is present.
Per session, the colour is neutralised in small amounts to reduce darkness, brighten the overall lip and achieve an even & consistent appearance.
Having reached the desired tone, Frankee will then focus on enhancing the lips with your desired target colour (one that is complimentary to your skin tone).
***Please note, this treatment requires layering techniques and working knowledge in colour theory, that is performed over a number of sessions.

How Long Does The Treatment Take?
Depending on the size of your lips, please allow 3 – 3.5 hours for the first session – this includes your full consultation, colour assessment, pre-drawing, mapping & measuring, the full treatment and all aftercare explained.
For top-up treatments or additional sessions, please allow 2 – 2.5 hours.
Does The Treatment Hurt?
You will be completely numbed both before and throughout your treatment, so pain is little to none.
Lots of clients tend to fall asleep during the treatment, however of course, with any tattoo you will feel some sensation, but rest assured Frankee will apply numbing throughout to ensure you are very comfortable.
How Long Does The Healing Process Take?
The healing process for lips is the quickest out of any Semi Permanent Makeup Treatment and usually lasts 5-7 days on average.
For Dark Lip Neutralisation, the full healing process takes 12 weeks for the colour to completely resurface before a second session is carried out.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
Frankee will hold a consultation with you prior to your appointment to estimate the number of sessions required.
Each treatment is bespoke to every individual and will be assessed on the levels of Hyperpigmentation that are present.
The darker the lips, the more sessions will be required.
Can I Have Fillers With This Treatment?
Yes. Clients however must allow 4 weeks either side of these treatments to ensure the healing process is not jeopardised.
